The Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority (PENRA), in collaboration with the Belgian development agency Enabel, are implementing an initiative as part of the Empowered Youth in a Green Palestine Program. This program, which runs from 2022 to 2026, is a key component of the bilateral cooperation portfolio developed by Enabel and the Palestinian government. Its core mission is to address the environmental challenges Palestine faces due to climate change, including increased drought, flooding, heat island effects, and pollution.
The Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority (PENRA) by coordination with General Personnel Council are seeking to hire qualified .candidates for the following positions .
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform energy audits and identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency in commercial buildings, water pumping, and industrial sector.
2. Conduct technical feasibility studies and perform energy modeling to evaluate energy efficiency recommended measures, and prepare comprehensive auditing report for each case.
3. Analyze energy usage data to optimize system performance and implement energy-saving measures effectively.
4. Prepare comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and design documentation to support renewable energy and energy efficiency project proposals and implementations.
5. Create energy-efficient system designs for buildings, industrial plants, and other facilities, ensuring optimized performance and sustainability.
6. Design and develop photovoltaic renewable energy systems tailored to project needs.
7. Provide expert technical support in evaluating and implementing energy-efficient technologies such as HVAC, lighting, insulation, and industrial processes related to stone and marble.
8. Oversee the commissioning, testing, and validation processes to ensure energy implemented systems are fully functional and meet required standards.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to renewable energy systems and energy-efficient technologies promptly.
10. Participate in workshops, seminars, and training sessions as required by PENRA to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
11. Collaborate with stakeholders and contractors to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
12. Present technical analyses and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
13. Perform any other related tasks that are related to the above-mentioned responsibilities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, and Energy Engineering, with minimum 3 years of experience.
• Proven experience in energy efficiency projects, including performing energy audits in industrial and building sectors.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
• Certification in renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar PV, energy storage systems) is an advantage.
• Certification in energy efficiency, energy audit and design from recognized institutions is an advantage.
• Experience in using energy efficiency tools and instruments such as power analyzer, combustion gas analyzer…etc.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, or other simulation and modeling tools for renewable energy systems is an advantage.
• Experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid holding Palestinian driving license.
• Holding EAP, CEM, or REP is an advantage.
• Excellent in English language for Arabic native speakers.
• Excellent in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
