The Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority (PENRA), in collaboration with the Belgian development agency Enabel, are implementing an initiative as part of the Empowered Youth in a Green Palestine Program. This program, which runs from 2022 to 2026, is a key component of the bilateral cooperation portfolio developed by Enabel and the Palestinian government. Its core mission is to address the environmental challenges Palestine faces due to climate change, including increased drought, flooding, heat island effects, and pollution.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

The Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority (PENRA) by coordination with General Personnel Council are seeking to hire qualified candidates for the following positions:                                                                                                                                                                                           

  Key Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

.• Follow up project balances, prepare financial claims for each project, transfer them to the respective project bank accounts, issue financial transfers for each, and deliver them to the banks to ensure financial control.

• Perform bank reconciliations, follow up on outstanding items, and close accounts for the financial year.

• Follow up on disbursement procedures and close financial transactions.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports, compare and analyze them with the financial data in the estimated budget for the same year, and submit them to relevant parties.

• Participate in the development and modification of financial databases.

• Record accounting entries and archive them after review.

• Participate in the preparation of the budget.

• Comply with applicable rules and regulations.

• Complete tasks assigned by the General Director of Financial Affairs in a way that serves the interests of the work.

• Ensure adherence to the Palestinian Financial System.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting.

• Minimum 2 years of experience.

• Excellent in English language.

• Excellent Knowledge of computer applications related to the work.

• Good knowledge of Palestinian governmental accounting system and financial law.

• Proficiency in Reporting.
